Shearing

Shearing, also known as die cutting, is a metal fabrication process which uses upper and lower blades to cut straight lines on flat metal stock without burning or melting. Shearing is quite common in the industry due its efficient and inexpensive nature. It also creates clean cuts with virtually no waste in the form of chips.
