COVID-19 Communication

Our Commitment to Customers and Team Members

At Coremark Metals, we understand the role our stores play in providing essential products and services to those we serve. The health and well-being of our customers, supply partners, and team members is our top priority. As we continue to monitor the dynamic and rapidly evolving situation regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) together, we want to share the proactive steps we’ve taken to continue to serve you while limiting the spread of the virus.

Compassion for Team Members

One of our CORE values is compassion; demonstrating care and concern for team members and their families is essential during this time. We continue to share information with our team members regarding tips for staying healthy, remaining home when ill, and how to prevent the spread of the virus. We are encouraging anyone who has symptoms of illness, no matter how minor, to stay home, and are committed to remaining flexible with time-off guidelines and accommodating those with underlying conditions. We’ve encouraged team members to come forth with concerns they may have so that we can address them openly and honestly. We also have an Employee Assistance Program available 24/7, free of charge, for everyone employed at Coremark Metals.

Flexible Options for Customers

As people are encouraged to implement social distancing, we encourage you to shop online for metals and hardware. You can also call your orders in ahead of time so they will be ready for you when you arrive. We are anticipating the rollout of new initiatives making delivery options more accessible in the next several days in light of COVID-19 and will communicate these options as they become available.

Store Cleanliness

We have implemented initiatives to ensure our stores are cleaner than ever. In addition to our daily cleaning efforts, we are increasing sanitation of our stores with focus on high traffic areas such as service counters, restrooms, and common areas. We are frequently disinfecting door handles, pens, countertops, keyboards, shopping carts, etc. We’ve also taken precautionary measures to ensure gloves, hand sanitizer, and other protective items have been made available to those who wish to utilize them.

What next?

At this time, our stores will remain open during regular business hours to meet the needs of our customers per the recommendation of federal, state, and local government authorities. If we become aware of updates or events that would make it unsafe to conduct business, please rest assured that we will take appropriate measures to protect the health and well-being of our team members, customers, and supply partners. In the event that our business hours should change, please check our website or contact us at 800-522-5950 for current information.

We feel deeply for the individuals and families who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers and others who are on the front line working diligently to contain this virus.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we adapt to this dynamic and rapidly evolving situation-
