This position is primarily responsible for operating assigned machinery to produce quality metal products according to customer specifications. We require no previous experience in the metals industry; just team members who are passionate and ready to learn new skills. Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop product knowledge of material in the department
• Locate and pull metal materials from pick lists
• Stage material for job operations
• Chop Saw, band saw, shear, and/or fabricate custom parts to meet specifications
• Prepare orders for transport including banding, shrink wrap, skids, etc.
• Restock materials using forklifts and cranes
• Audit processed orders for accuracy
• Provide support for the routine daily operation of machinery in the production department
• Follow safety policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard and computer
• Ability to multi-task, be attentive, and flexible
• Strong understanding of measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures, and scales
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis and up to 75lbs occasionally
• Ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to maneuver and manipulate metal materials by bending, twisting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and use of upper and lower extremities and back

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are desired, though not required to adequately meet the objectives of the position.

• Aptitude in industrial machinery and equipment
• Forklift experience
