Thank you for your interest in a career with Coremark metals! We are seeking a Class B CDL driver to join our Minneapolis team. This position is responsible for the handling, transportation, and delivery of completed orders to and from Coremark Metals in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Deliveries are completed during business hours; no late night or overnight routes and the majority of pick up and drop off destinations are in the Twin Cities/metro area.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $23.00-$26.00/hour, commensurate with experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading of material
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on truck including inspection of truck and/or trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and/or after trips
• Secure loads prior to transport
• Transport and deliver shipments in line with our mission of excellent customer service
• Perform quality control to confirm accuracy and condition of product prior to delivery
• Follow safety policies and procedures including our policy on utilization of portable communication devices while driving
• Follow state and federal regulations
• Report all accidents involving driver, company equipment, and/or private property
• Report all safety hazards

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid and Current Class B CDL License
• Must meet DOT requirements
• Perform frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of packaged goods weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, scale and other measuring devices
• Visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard and computer
• Service oriented with high energy and a positive and friendly demeanor
• Must meet requirements of title 49.391 including but not limited to: must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently and understand highway traffic signs and signals
• Must be free from any driving violation(s) that would disqualify candidate under title 49.391.15
