Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and education

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Duties Include:

  • Maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Planning machining work by analyzing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specs, orthographic drawings, reference plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
  • Programming mill and lathes including setting tool registers, offsets, conditional switches, and calculating requirements
  • Setting up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four- jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, etc.
  • Maintaining specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, detecting malfunctions, replacing tools, and reprogramming CNC
  • Translating instructions into CAM software program
  • Maintaining equipment by following manufacturer guidelines, completing preventive maintenance, and contacting the proper departments for repairs
  • Reviewing 3D CAM design blueprints
  • Selecting proper cutting tools and spends for each unique job
  • Writing programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency

Position Requirements:

  • Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • 3+ years of programming experience
  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional communication in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the department
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of supervisor
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Strong understanding of measuring devices such as calipers, tape measures, and scales
  • Ability to maneuver and manipulate metal materials by bending, twisting, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, and use of upper and lower extremities and back

Required Education: Associate (Preferred)

Required Experience: CNC programming: 3 years
